David and Charissa

David and Charissa's small ceremony featured several nice touches - like this lovely cake and unique champagne flutes.

This young lady was a lovely flower girl - and a busy one. She was all over the church.

The wedding party arrived forty minutes late but somehow they pulled it all together to start on time. And the bride was calm enough in the center of the storm to be able to stop and smile for me.

Did I mention how photogenic this young lady is? I think she has had some practice - she knows how to strike a pose!

The wedding had a simple color scheme - white, black, and red. I couldn't bring myself to eradicate the bright red of the roses by making the entire photo black and white.

Ashley is an expediter extraordinaire - she should hire herself out as a professional bridesmaid. She never missed a beat, she never got flustered, and she had a stash of extra supplies (jewelry for the bride, for example).

The bride never made it to the one mirror in the room (strange, I know). But the bridesmaids made sure they looked stunning for the event.

Here is a lucky brother - his sister made sure he looked sharp before he fulfilled his groomsman duties.

Mom and son before the ceremony... I felt like I was intruding, but who can resist this moment?

Father of the groom helps another groomsman (and another son?) prepare for the ceremony. Dad also officiated!

The groom during a moment of prayer.

The bride!

Bride and groom share a quiet moment. No Bridezilla or groom nightmare here - both were happy and easygoing throughout their small ceremony and reception.

I still wish we could have gone outside for the formal portraits, but the church is not located near anything scenic - and let's be honest - who wants to stand around in wedding attire in 100+ degree weather?

The wedding had a few traditional dances but most of the dancing was "messianic" dancing.

The Melero Wedding

Something about this wedding made me want to hypersaturate the photos - at least those with these adorable kids in frame. This was a second wedding (re-affirming vows) for this family. This photo is their young son.

Safe to say, most of the kids were a bit bored in the church and found the chairs outside much more entertaining.

The family did their wedding on a tight budget, but they took the time to add rich color to the ceremony.

The bride's young daughter seemed to pop up in many of my pictures - and not just because she was in charge of the train.
